Mountain Biking Skills for Youth

Our certified Instructors will teach you the fundamental skills required to improve your riding techniques, and progress to meet your goals for this adventure sport - either as a recreational or pre-competitive rider.

We focus on the Fundamental Skills for Mountain Biking, which includes:

  • Body Positioning: Neutral Position, Ready Position

  • Bike/Body Separation: Side to Side, Forward Back

  • Pedal Position, Ratcheting

  • Braking

  • Cornering

  • Shifting and Cadence

  • Terrain/Line Choice

  • Seated/Standing Climb

It is very common (across the world) for these Sessions to begin on flat terrain i.e. lawn or basketball court. Please know, this is a tried and tested globally recognized curriculum proven to advance your skills, so please arrive with a rad headspace - ready to absorb as much as you can from our certified Instructors. Time on the trails will follow the progression through skills.
